I agree with Ladyjane. Not a huge deal. Some won't take to it, but it's just a little stick daily. After the poke, my girl just hangs around while it's running.
You can play around a bit with needle size. 18g gets the job done faster, but the initial poke may not be pleasant for some pups. The 20g runs more slowly, but if they hate the poke, then that would probably be better.
It's definitely worth a try. I'm very sorry about your pup.
