You are a angel ! sorry you didnt find him. Maybe it was a scam maybe not and maybe someone saw him tie up and maybe barking at night. Let just pray someone with a good heart like you got him and will take care of him. I'm so happy your ok, and I hope you didnt go by yourself. That is a no no never truth someone you don't know over the internet that is selling or giving you something, to meet up some where by yourself it's sad but better be safe than sorry.
