Haha! It's hardest when you first add them, then as you learn their signals, voices, temperments, and personalities and as they learn to get along with each other, it gets easier.
I added mine rather quickly (3 within a year), before any of them really settled in. I got Tink in April, then Sapphire in June, then the opportunity arose to get a Biewer the following January. So they all felt like the 'new' dog for a while. I had Peek a Boo for around 6 years (he was 5 years old when I got him) so he had the most problems adjusting. The girls keep his head spinning and generally overwhelm him most of the time though, lol!
When we first got Finny, the Biewer, Tink thought she was a big squeaky toy (I think bc of her coloring). I turned around to see Tink dragging Finny across the floor by her ear! Tink was just trying to play and poor Finny didn't know what to think! They are both close to the same size, but I still intervened and have managed to put a stop to Tink doing this. Tink never drew blood or caused bodily injury to Finny, but Finny would just lay motionless and allow it to happen.
