I don't think it is normal Yorkie behaviour - something must be irritating her in this area. Have you looked at it with a really good light source and perhaps magnifing glass? There just may be something you are missing. I would mention it to the vet next time you go and get them to have a good look. I know about the noisy bell at night! We take Tootsy's collar off at night for this reason - every little movement makes the bell ring it seems! Ha! Ha! Hope you find a solution.
