The lure is sadly that people put their desires for a super small dog often ahead of what is really good for the tiny dog and then tell themselves they will always watch the dog when it is around the little child. Trouble is, things happen so fast you can't always stop a tragedy when you are sitting right there watching. The lure is the wanting of that tiny dog that is soooo cute. Not that plenty don't get by with this combo and nothing happens but it is a always a risk to have small children around a tiny, fragile animal - a chance I just could never take. We take enough chances having a small Yorkie share our lives and adding extra risk to the daily activity of living is one risk too much.
