Whoa..............girl, you have been through the orthopedic knothole and back again. Nonunions are orthopedics ugliest!!! As you know, many with your Hx. would have had a BK amputation! Thank God you found a specialist in non-u's but it does sound par for the course to be still swelling and hurting unless you are a 21 year old professional athlete. I just pray all is on course once you get your report. My ortho's used to say with orthopedics the way you know you are getting better is when your good days outnumber your bad and the bad days are not as bad as they once were. Progress comes very slowly in old-fashioned(not including arthroscopy) orthopedics.
