Ok, I have a letter written to send on the emails. However, during my reading of what is happening to Lennox, I have discovered that my own state has many cities with breed specific laws. Here is part of the city ordinance from one of the cities here.

"Banning of specific breeds. Banned breeds of dogs are banned entirely and may not be owned or kept within the City. Banned breeds of dogs are any of the following:
(1) American Pit Bull Terrier.
(2) Staffordshire Bull Terriers
(3) American Staffordshire Terrier.

Any dog conforming or substantially conforming to the breed of American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier as defined by the United Kennel Club or American Kennel Club. Any dog which is of the breed commonly referred to as "pit bull" and commonly recognizable and identifiable as such." I am truly in shock.

In my letter I stressed more about how this is affecting Brooke, the disabled child. As a mother of a disabled child, I felt this is the part that I could really relate to. As my son also has his needs for comfort and security like Brooke has this need with Lennox.

This has been going on for a long time. I feel so sorry for that family and Lennox. It is really heartbreaking.
