Having worked for orthopods all my life, I know it is very common for orthopedic injuries that result in surgery or casting to swell for 6 - 8 mos. after surgery/cast and often the swelling causes pain itself, not just the pain of the still-healing injury. For every candle over 21 and every pound just over "skinny", that holds extra true. I hope and pray that your CT scan is fine and this is just the routine.
