Believe it or not Lola has 3 pee pads she uses. One in her pen, one in the living room and one in my husbands "man room" When I am not home he locks himself in the man room with her and she goes there, when I am home she is usually in the living room with me and goes there, and at night/when we are at work she goes in her pen area.
But...overall she prefers to go outside! So on any sunny day, warm or cold(with a sweater) we try to go outside as much as possible! And so far this has been working great for us
