No, it is not wrong to spend your money on something you want. To tell you the truth, if I had known how much I would spend getting Copper, I probably would have thought about it a little more. The breeder was a friend of mine and said she would give me a good deal. It wasn't as good a deal as I thought it was going to be. By the time I fell in love with Copper and was committed...the deal ended up about $1500. Way more than I ever thought I would spend on a dog.

After being on yorkietalk for almost 2 years now, I feel like I'm a little more educated on yorkies and realize that they do cost this much and occasionally more. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could get my hubby to agree to two dogs. And it isn't about the money.

I say go for it. It is nobody's business how much you paid for your dog. Tell them you "got a deal!"
