I prefer them tipped and clean looking. The last groomer left too much on his ears for my liking... like around the sides. I can't decide if I like them with more hair or totally clean.

Both pictures were right after he was groomed.
Then one groomer tipped WAY too far down and his ears looked HUGE... I just can't decide how to do Jackson's ears... haha they are so big either way! hehe |
Great pictures. Have the groomer leave hair at the base of the ear, where it meets the skull. If it is cut too short where the ear meets the head, that is what makes Yorkie ears look huge. Only the top third, near the tip of the triangle, should be trimmed close to the edge. Also, shave the inside of the flap. That is always hard for me on Max because he hates the buzzing of the clipper the closer I get to the ear hole.
