Typically, a good breeder will not place a very small yorkie in a home with children. But a larger one (more like 6 -7 pounds and up) could be okay. Does that help any? |
Exactly!!! I see nothing wrong with families with children but I believe the breeder should be evaluating familys knowing their dogs lines and what sizes there pups tend to grow to as adults. They should be extensively interviewong and observing all members of the household before placing one of their pups with anyone. I know you have taught your children jow to be behave around a small breed dog but not everyone does and even if they do when you have children accidents happen. Im not against families having a yorkie but what I am against is breeders that dont take the time or care to make sure a yorkie is the right breed for that family
