The Gift
Yorkies are God's gift. From the first time we smell their puppy breath, to last moment we hold them in death.
They make us smile. It is the way they tip their head to hear what we say, or the tail wagging, ball dropping way, they ask, Lets Play ! It is their terrier spirt that makes them go that extra mile.
What we feel, they feel with us. They forget our mistakes and give us trust.
They show us how to be brave, loyal, tough, tender and to savor right now.
Things we thought we couldn't ever do do , they teach us how.
Every dog we have, leaves lessons behind. They get in our heart, their love soaks into our soul, they become part of us. When we have to say good bye, we think it is too soon, we want more time.
But the angels shout, " Yorkie coming up ! You helped a human, did a good job too, welcome home, we missed you !
