Default Is it too late to spay/nueter my yorkies?

Hi Everyone!
Ok, here's my story. I have 4 yorkies.. 1 male and 3 princesses. When I bought my first female, in all honesty, my intentions were to breed her when she was old enough so a month later I bought my male. Well, as time goes by, (they are both now 3 yrs old) my female, doesnt grow much, she almost hits the 3 lb mark but not quite, she's tiny, healthy but too small. My male doesn't grow much either, he is a whopping 3 pounds. Sooo, I go on the hunt for another female. I bought one that I just fell in love with and now 2 yrs later, yup, she is also too small. Then a friend of a friend was looking to give away her yorkie and thats how I ended up with my 3rd female who is healthy and weighs 5.6 lbs, yes, a good size to breed with my Toby.......
Now, here it comes.... I don't want to breed her or Toby. He is 3 yrs old now and I'm wondering if its too late to have him neutered. I've done pretty good keeping him separated from my girls, or should i say, I've been lucky that he hasnt "gotten" any of my girls, but enough is enough. I'm tired of having baby fences up just to keep them separated.
So, is it too late, to dangerous to have them spayed and neutered.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
