It's amazing how intune they are to us and will try to care for us when we are sick.
I'd only had ZoE a couple of months, when my daughter came home from college with the H1N1 flu. ZoE stuck by her side like glue and always wanted to sleep on the bed with her. I couldn't tempt her away even with a peanut butter filled Kong. My daughter will still refer to her from time to time as "Nurse ZoE".
Hope your son feels better soon. I'm sure Bentley's yorkie lovin will speed up his recovery
