I still think the best way to purchase a yorkie is research the breed - check the prices in your area ....and go from there - Also ...Word of mouth is a great way to find a good breeder....

Many people HAVE to be concerned about the price to be able to afford one...IF Every breeder had to use a Specialist or whatever you're talking about - many yorkies would be priced right out of many good homes.

No one is saying a breeder shouldn't be compensated....just the same as the BUYER shouldn't be taken advantage of.....
