it sounds like he has alot of unexcercised energy he needs to get out of his system before bed time. are you taking him for walks? play sessions that tire him out before bed? if they just sleep all day and play only a little, then bed time will not work well. you have to literlaly tired them out with play and excercise.

as for nipping, they will do this, they are teethign, but it is your job to teach them no bite, go get a toy. when they start immedaitly put them down, walk away, ignore them. they will learn "biting = you not playing with me"
