This is great ! I have been wanting a simular set up with the doggy door off of my back porch. The whole back yard is fenced with 5ft chain link. I block the doggy door if I have to go some where briefly with out the doggies (like the doctor, grocery and so on) there is no roof, so birds can still get to the doggies. Your set up looks really safe. I really like what you did. I plan to share your pictures with my son. Maybe we can buy one of the dog run kits from Lowes, I think it would work like the one you have.
