Hi, this is my first post, I have a Yorkie that broke her leg Monday, she broke the top bone on the left front leg in half at a 45 degree angle. she had surgery Tuesday, there are no bandages or cast on her just the staples. Keeping her resting but when she goes to move that leg it's almost like she doesn't have much control over it, it turns out at the elbow when she puts it down. She can hold it up bent so it doesn't touch the ground but other then that it's like it flops around. The Vet re-xrayed her and said the pin and wires look fine and nothing wrong with the joint. I'm very concerned, doesn't look normal. Does anyone have experience or know anything about this type of injury? Thanks.
