You have my sympathy. I have been known to require medication over fleas ! JK. But a few years ago we declared war on the tiny vermin. Noah (RIP) was highly allergic and one flea bite set his OCD into frantic chewing and licking mode. He would chew himself bloody before we could get the Softy Cone on him. Of course we did everything we could think of, to make him comfortable. We finally had the carpet ripped up and replaced with hard flooring. The house, lawn, furniture and drapes were all professionally treated. We tossed out old doggy beds and I made all new beds stuffed with cedar chips. We changed their flea preventive to an oral medication instead of topical drops. Finally we broke the flea / tape worm cycle. It cost a small fortune but, was worth every cent. I have not seen a on my dogs for two years.
