I can tell you that my baby is 8 1/2 months old and she is 100% potty trained. She has been really well trained, using her doggie door for about 2 1/2 months now. I would say that I started getting comfortable giving her the run of the house about 6 1/2 months old.

I can tell you this, though: It took 2 - 3 months of nothing but diligent work, keeping an eye on her, out to potty every hour on the hour, keeping her in confined areas of the house, no wandering without strict supervision. I thought it was going to kill me! (oh by the way, I work). It was like having a second job! But I can tell you, it worked!

So if you are willing to put in the hours and the work, then you can have a fully housebroken yorkie.

I also think that it helps to make them go outside. I am not sure how house broken you can get a yorkie that uses peepads or papers.
