Those coats you see in the pictures in magazines are really nice, but it takes a lot of work to get them like that. The coats have to be wrapped to be protected, the dogs should not be allowed on carpet if you want nice hair. the carpeting breaks the hair off when they play. You have to put oil on the coat when youu wrap it so that it does not dry out, and wash and condition with good products. When you wrap a coat, you have to re-wrap it at least every other day so that the hair does not get tangled near the skin. I have dogs with those nice coats, they are my show dogs, my pets I cut down because it is too much trouble to tend to all my dogs coats. I have 5 that are in show coats now, and I am tending to their coats everyday as soon as I get home from work. |
