Anyone have suggestions for how I can relieve Harley's itchy paws? Poor Harley is getting to a point he's gonna be licking them raw soon
I'm not entirely sure of the cause, but we've been eliminating things from his diet thinking that he has an allergy, the vet instructed me to pick a one protein source food and keep him on it for 2 months, this is his only food, no treats etc.
Also he had fleas, I applied Revolution a few weeks ago, and gave him a flea bath almost 2 weeks ago, I'm going to repeat the flea bath just in case this week. I also sprayed the whole apartment, and will likely re-clean his room this weekend too. (changed his bedding twice since apartment cleaning).
So either of those could be causing the itchiness. I also think they are irritated cause he's licking them. I was thinking of trimming his hair a bit so that if there are fleas, they're easier for me to catch and clean off.. but I haven't seen any fleas (knock on wood) since the major cleaning a week and a half ago.
