I know what you mean...sometimes it's that "in-between" stage that is so hard to be patient with.
Like the first time I grew out Bella's fringe for a nice top knot...it was so hard to see her with stray hairs falling in her eyes but, my patience paid off with the help of tiny barrettes to pin them back.
And yes, thankfully...it will grow back and if not this winter there is always next year for him to grow it out!
