Hi, I know several puppies who had the same problem. First use tiny rice sized treats no bigger. Second use the most neutral thing you can like, softened kibble, boiled chicken skinned and patted dry, * moist sweet potato strips cut in to rice size pieces, crisp cooked carrot, crisp cooked green bean.
* I peel and bake sweet potato in microwave about 2 min. , let cool completely, then slice long way, into french fry like strips, then cut across into tiny cubes. I freeze baggies of this and only take out what I need for a training session. I put a paper towel in the the bottom of a plastic bowl to absorb excess melt moisture.
