The only reason I asked for a training book specifically for yorkies is cause some of the books out there want you to do things that I am a little nervous to do with my baby. Like teaching to lay down - it'll say put your hands lightly on his shoulder and then push him downward to a laying down position all while his nose is following a treat...I don't know about that cause I am a little nervous to lightly push on my baby's shoulders. He's so little, I don't want to hurt him. I guess a training boook for little dogs, toy breeds, ect would work as well. I just think there are different ways to train certain dogs based on their size. One technique for a doberman might not work for a little yorkie. |
