Chip is horrible about taking medicine. I have to shove it in the back of his throat and hold his mouth shut sometimes. He will hold it there forever to the point where he starts drooling. If I have to give him medicine this way I put it in the back of his throat and shake a treat bag and it's like insta-swallow. Of course I give him a treat. |
Yep,this has been done too. For such a sweet,obedient guy when he was young he REALLY does not want to take this one pill. He can pick it out of ANYTHING. If it is crushed into anything he can smell it and wont eat.
Not giving up. Although I do see him fading a little more each day. 15yrs is very old for a shepard/huskey mix. So everyone here will continue to try to help him have a quality of life.
