Philodendron is a common, highly toxic and not worth the risk, if you have one of those.
Bitter apple is not an effective deterrent for plants and would probably damage the plant.
I had tons of houseplants when I brought Max home and I decided that he was more important than my plants. Some of the plants were re-homed, some went to rooms that he does not have access to, and the safe ones were left.
ETA: flowering plants are almost always toxic to dogs
