So "Coke" is used as a generic term in the south? Isn't there a part of the country that uses "pop" as the generic term for any form of soda? I remember hearing it for the first time and was like... uh? "pop"? like popcicle?
Well, pop was used in the south when I was about 8 and it stood for any form of soda and Kool-aid but my kid's generation use the word "Coke" for any form of drink and they are in their late 20's so I guess "saying" migrate south
