Hahaha i do that all the time, Max likes to sleep under the computer desk while im on the computer and i almost always forget he's there and starts panicking looking for him... Then when i've turned the whole house upside down looking for him, he'll come from under the desk yawning, like a little angel, and looking at me like im some kind of mad woman.
