Of course we already had our license, my dress, and my bouquet. So... I called my mom asked her to have dad call the JP (who was our neighbor) to see if he could do the ceremony at 9:00 pm. The ceremony started promptly at 9:00 pm and by 9:15 Ron and I were married and headed to our blissful honeymoon camping trip. |
Oh my gosh! That sounds PERFECT!!! LOL I proposed a Vegas wedding where we just show up the day before and pick out the last min things like cake flavor and what color flowers. I even told him I'd do a simple 'ceremony' and dinner for people here who can't travel. I almost had him convinced and then we went to my cousins wedding 2 weeks ago and my family freaked out when they thought I would not have a wedding and now here we are (with fiance's convincing) having a real wedding that I have to plan everything for. He is super awesome, going to all the appts, making phone calls and doing all the things I should be doing honestly... but I can't do it. LOL Today he called the photographer and booked them and asked all the questions he had. I told him I did not want an hour of formals b/t the ceremony & reception bc I don't want to be away from our friends & family for that long. I wanted to do the formals before the ceremony but he did not want to do that. Well he told the photographer my idea and how he was not loving it and she told him she'll make the formal session only for a 1/2 hour and get plenty of pics. It takes the hall a 1/2 hour to put the room back together so we won't be missing much if we do a 1/2 hour so that work out ok I guess.
