I can't really help either. Thought you might enjoy these two very different wedding tales, both absolutely true.

My son and daughter(in-law) planned their own wedding. Pam did most of the work and she did a spectatular job. The wedding was here at the farm for approx 100 guests. BUT by one month out from the wedding, she was so over it, however I must say the kids pulled it al together and it couldn't have been more perfect.

Thirty years ago my hubby and I were going to have a small, family only wedding at my parent's home. Late one afternoon - maybe 5pm or so, we had been working with the horses at his place and decided spur of the moment to get married that night. Of course we already had our license, my dress, and my bouquet. So... I called my mom asked her to have dad call the JP (who was our neighbor) to see if he could do the ceremony at 9:00 pm. On the way to take me home we stopped at a convenience store and got our reception items - a package of oreos and a 2 liter bottle of coke. The ceremony started promptly at 9:00 pm and by 9:15 Ron and I were married and headed to our blissful honeymoon camping trip.
