Mites will probably look like black speckles inside the ear, or the edges, or the base of the back of the ear. Fleas leave "flea dirt" that looks like black speckles. If it were fleas, she would probably have them everywhere.
Is she is really scratching, crying, or shaking her head, she needs to see the vet immediately (asap). These things can mean mites or an ear infection.
