All vets are different. The ones that see my dogs and do this surgery prefer to have the infection cleared up first otherwise it is more difficult. Yes, you should know that in some cases the surgery can result in fecal incontinence. Also, didn't this pup have an anesthetic reaction? Which drug was it? She may need to go to a specialty hospital with an anesthesiologist on staff if you decide to do it. |
Yes when the vet flushed them she did apply the antibiotics on the inside, I can't remember the names of the antibiotics but I have the bottle and envelope here, I will check for them. When she poops it is firm. The vet is trying to get the infection cleared up before deciding a course of action.
I have read on here that the surgery can cause incontinence in some cases and the vet talked to me about that as well, and yes when they sedated Tila last time she did have a reaction which makes me double worried about everything. I'm going to do lots of research here before we decide to do this if it comes down to the removal. Going to check into hospitals as well. Thank you.
