SO and I have been together for 5 years, and we have a wonderful relationship. I was engaged once when I was young, and then briefly married to someone else when I was 26. That marriage experience was BAD, and I was pretty deeply scarred afterward (lots of therapy needed
). SO and I agreed we would take it slow and never push the issue.
Well, lately we have been looking at rings in the jewelry stores, and I know he already spoke to my dad about asking me to marry him. I am getting excited at the prospect of getting married again...this time to a man who loves and values me, and treats me as I deserve to be treated.
I don't want to talk about this to people I know irl...not yet...but I just need to tell someone!
I don't know when or how the proposal will happen, but I can't wait!
