When the vet flushed them, did she put any medicine down there?
What antibiotics has she been on?
When she poops, is it firm or not?
All vets are different. The ones that see my dogs and do this surgery prefer to have the infection cleared up first otherwise it is more difficult. Yes, you should know that in some cases the surgery can result in fecal incontinence. Also, didn't this pup have an anesthetic reaction? Which drug was it? She may need to go to a specialty hospital with an anesthesiologist on staff if you decide to do it.
