It is definately tape worm. Tape worms can come from 2 different sources.. One is by the way of a flea/fleas and the other is eating an animal or animal feces with tape worm.
Most worm meds on the market , like no-mo tape and meds like those will NOT kill the tape worm. It only causes segments of the worm to break off and leaves the head of the tape worm. The head of a tape worm attaches itself to the intestine wall and sucks blood from the animal. Leaving tape worm untreated can be dangerous for your pup/dog. This type of worm can also infect humans if ingested.
You need to take the stool with the worm into your vet and get a wormer that will KILL the worm.

The medicine is not too expensive. if you take the stool in to the vet with you, then the vet should not have to do a fecal.

(Not trying to be rude at all here)... I would do whatever I had to do to get my dog wormed and rid of this.

Barrow the money? Talk to vet about charging and payment plan? Pawn something at the local pawn shop? Volunteer at a shelter in trade for a dose of wormer? Sell something? I don't know... but I'd do something. Your little dog's health is as stake.
