Frontline Plus reviews? Howwell does it work? Hi. I posted a thread a while back ago about having difficulty getting my dog to take the flea pill. I went through two sets of pills for two dogs in three days trying to get it down them. This time at the vet I tried to go with the topical stuff. The vet reccomended the Frontline Plus and that was his reccomended choice. I put it on them last night around 8:30. I hope I did it right. I tried to do it at the shoulder blades and I tried to move their hair around to expose the skin. It looked like the medicine ran and didn't stay in one spot, so Im not sure if I got it enough at skin level or not. But my concern is, I checked them this afternoon and I still found a couple of live fleas. They were easier to catch, usually theyre fast lil boogers. But my concern is that It would have been well past the 12 hours since the medicine was given, I thought they were supposed to be dead by then?? Is it just not as effective or did I maybe do it wrong? I dont think they could have had many fleas, They just went to the groomer yesturday and had their hair cut short so they could grow out through winter. But w their hair being short and easier to see I can really see anything. I did find a couple , one on each dog. And I did see a tiny flea jump on a throw that the dogs have been on. But other than that my Yorkie is in my lap all the time and I dont see anything, and I checked him again today and my girl Lhasa apso and I just dont see fleas scurring around. They sure cant have many. But I got the bedding in the washer and dryer. I vacumed the top surface of the living room suite. we dont have carpet to worry with, we have the wood laminate. Anything else I need to do? I just get paranoid about getting a "flea problem". Whats your thoughts on the Fronline Plus, Does it really work? I was suprised to see a live flea on my dogs after the 12 hour mark???? |
