Yep, she sales to a broker too.
Then the brokers are the one's that ship to pet shops.
I knew a girl who worked at a pet shop in Evansville, IN. She walked out on her job because she refused to "take care" of the puppies on display "the way the manager of the store said"
She told me that store rules were to only feed & water the puppies AFTER the store closed. this way the puppies would do their eating, drinking, pooping, peeing and playing at night time. The pens could be cleaned before opening and would stay clean while the store was open. the puppies would be sleepy during the day and when people were looking at the puppies they would pay attention to them, bark and act cute because they were hoping to get food from the people
She said it was terrible. She also said puppies would come in and then get sick within a couple of days. She was only there a month or so... she refused to stay there as an employee.
This was several years ago.. not sure if that pet shop even still sales puppies but they are still open.
