Fortunately, I was lazy and called the ACTUAL # on the back of my card to say that I was travelling, and wouldn't be able to pick up a new debit card. At that point, they said they hadn't sent me any message about my account.
In retrospect, I realized that the message didn't identify which bank it was calling from. However, the vmail sounded very real. It even had that automated sound to the dates: "Your current card will deactivate on. Sep-TEM-ber. Ninth. At. Five. pee-EM." | Other than the static, the automated message we heard when we called the number sounded pretty good too.
