Seems as if it was more like 6 months, but this morning Basil has his cast removed and an X-Ray taken of his leg. It looks great. He can now start going for slow 5 minute walks on a leash, and next week the time can lengthen. He has to be kept quiet with no running or Jumping for at least another month, and in 6 weeks he will go back for a final X-Ray to ensure complete healing. He has some sores on the leg where the splint rubbed, but that will clear up. Hardest part will be to keep him from licking and biting the sore areas. so he has a soft collar and a soft boot on.
