Awww, what a sweet story. Sounds like you two were meant to be. And you are right, dogs are never "free". Lol.

I do have one question. Not to stir up any debate on Science diet but I am wondering about you taking him off the I/D. You said he had stomach issues which is probably why the I/D was recommended for him. I too have a pup with tummy issues and IBS. I have tried to change foods but ended up back on the I/D because the others caused her to get sick. Not starting a debate, just want to make sure you talk this over with your vet before you have other issues to deal with.
