That's what I'm thinking. I've seen the beds that have a heating element in them but I don't feel comfortable leaving a dog using that unmonitored. I was thinking that if she had somewhere she could cocoon herself and that held in some of her own body heat, she'd be cozy this winter...and this bed looks good in the ad, but I've never seen one in person. (Right now, ZoE is snuggled inside my partly zipped hoodie sweatshirt, as I type...lol)
