As MaryKay mentioned above, maybe you could find a groomer that will let you stay and watch. I tried that but had no luck with the few groomers in my area. I could understand though why a groomer wouldn't really appreciate a customer that wants to watch. Not because the groomer does anything wrong, but simply because most people don't like to be watched over their shoulder while working.

Hopefully you'll find one that will let you stay. After you have her groomed, then it should be fairly easy to follow the groomers lines and keep her trimmed in the cut you like.
