This is a fun thread. I am not particularly adventurous with my food, but I did try rattlesnake once (it was pretty good until I started thinking, "I'm eating an animal that eats rodents". I've also tried conch, rather bland and VERY chewy.
My food heat index would be a 6 or 7. I want my food so hot (from the stove) that I have to take small bites. I am crazy in love with black peppers, chunky salsa, and jalapenos.
I didn't know that there was a sumac used for seasoning. The only sumac I know sent me to the emergency with hives and a closing windpipe.
