That guy was an A 1 JERK.
My boyfriend actually bought Pixie for me, and because we live in different states, he demands pictures on a regular basis, and Pixie Tales on the daily.
He's about 6'4", about 230lbs.. Not at all a "little dog" kind of guy, but boy is he wrapped around Pixie's finger.
I read somewhere that God created the dog, so that man can feel God's love on earth. And really, where else can you find such unconditional love?
And recall the story if you will, of the man making a journey to the heavens, and one by one all his companions fell to the wayside, except his dog. When he got to his destination, the gatekeeper said you're welcomed here, but not your dog. The man said my dog has been my most loyal companion. Who would I be, if I abandoned him now? And they traveled on. Coming to another place, he was again welcomed, and said to the gatekeeper, I'm not coming in, if my dog can't join me. The gatekeeper said, of course your dog is welcomed.
When he told the gatekeeper about the other place, he was told, well.. that isn't really heaven.
I know I have mangled that story, but I also know most of you know the story anyway, lol. The point is those people that love animals know that animals have hearts, and souls, and they love.
It's a certain kind of sociopathic (and I do not say that lightly) person that doesn't recognize the emotions in other animals.. Other animals also being HUMANS. (which is why so many serial killers start on animals in the first place).
Even my abusive ex loved his dog. Even said the dog loved him more than I did (which was probably true at the time he said it, lol)
