Thank you for all these replies. I did not realise that it could be so many things. She will be seeing the vet in the morning and I will see that she has all the tests and xrays. She did see the vet on Friday afternoon and she said that Tootsy did not look like an ill dog despite these symptoms and had not lost weight. So she said she wanted to err on the side of caution before doing any more tests, which would upset Tootsy, but to let her know if it goes on in which case she would have to do all the tests and xrays It has gone on and I booked her in for tomorrow morning. I was going to look up possible illnesses tonight but it seems that there are too many of them so I will have to wait. I will let you know what the vet says tomorrow. Once I get the test results back from the lab, I will let you all know the results. Thanks a million. I am just so worried about her and am frequently in tears. I have changed vets a lot over the years and this one was recommended by a vet who told me that this was the vet that she would want to treat her dog. I feel I must give her just a bit more time, providing she agrees to urgent tests and xrays, but she said she was going to do that, anyway. Thanks again. Please pray that it is something simple that can be easily treated. I would appreciate it so much.
hugs xx
