I understand it can be intimidating sometimes for owners to do this but, you are your pets ONLY & BEST advocate for their healthcare...speak up!

If you do not like the answers you get...then get a second opinion.

These dogs can go down fast and the longer you waste time on the internet searching for answers...you are putting your girl at risk!
I agree - I should have asked immediately about her lungs, but I let her finish her examination, which she did take some time over - I was impressed by that.. She then told me about the false pregnancy and I was so shocked I forgot about asking about what she could hear on her lungs, if anything. (When I put my ear to her chest during the day, it doesn't make a sound, only at night. but I am not qualified to make any judgement on this, so I will ask her to check her lungs again tomorrow.) If I feel at all unhappy about the way she decides to go with tests and treatment, I will ask for a second opinion. I have been taking her to the vet and phoning the vet with updates, every few days. I haven't been wasting time just looking up stuff, I promise. I think anyone who cares about their pet does wants to do research, as well as taking them to the vet, when their pet is ill, providing the trip to the vet comes first, obviously. As I said the last time the vet saw her she said she was still in good condition and had not lost weight nor did she present as a dog needing urgent tests done, so she wanted to give her a little more time to recover, as she had been through so much. BUT she did tell me to bring her back should she not improve, and this is what I am doing tomorrow. Thanks so much for your concern and I do take on board what you are saying.
