I know the feeling.... we have bred our Aussie twice (for 2 separate litters) to a stud in Kansas. We live in Texas. It was a 12 hour drive one way just to take her. Each time we left her there about a week to a week and a half. We trust the stud owners completely though. They were so sweet with her. We got a kick out of the stories they would tell us (and we would talk to them almost every day). The wife said that if she knew she could get away with it, she would keep Stormie forever. That's the only kind of breeder I would ever deal with. Of course making the trip to pick her up each time and being reunited was priceless. We could tell she had a very nice experience with them but she's a daddy's girl and was SO happy to be back with us. Complete trust... gotta have it with the breeder!
