My husb is a big 6'3'' + 300lb guy and he LOVED Kiwi and LOVES Lola. He gets looked at all the time carrying around such a little dog, but he doesn't care. He is also from the Dominican Republic and in his culture dogs are not loved and cared for the way we do, most of his family think we are crazy for loving our pets so much and taking them everywhere, but we are slowly changing their minds, its amazing the effect these little dogs have on us humans! But I def agree I could never be with someone who didn't love my babies as much as I do. Good you found this out now and not in the future, because it would be a deal breaker for me!
After having several childhood dogs and my little Kiwi and Lola I can't imagine how people could believe they do not have souls, they are all so different and their personalities vary so much, they love and feel the same as us, and anyone who has had a pet knows how smart they really are! I can't imagine there isn't a place for them on the other side
